NEW CHANGES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1.
I am excited to share with you some changes that will be in effect starting October 1, 2009. The new changes are as follows:
1) New PM class times - 5:30pm and 6:30pm (old was 5:00pm and 6:00pm)
2) Classes will be run a little differently as compared to the past. Classes will start on-time. The warm-ups will vary from day to day and will be facilitated by the trainer. The warm-ups will be done together as a group. Although the Crossfit warm-up that we have been doing is a great warm-up, we must vary the warm-ups just as we vary our workouts (routine is the enemy!). This change will also allow us to focus more on basic movements that will greatly assist our olympic lifts i.e. Burgener Warm-up. Because of this change there will be less flexibility as to when you arrive. You must be on time to participate with the group. Now, if for some reason you show up too late for us to be able to get you in with the group you still have the option to do your own workout. This cannot become a habit as you should make every effort to make it on time to participate with the group. In addition, your workout cannot interfere with the group WOD.
3) Children - We love your children! We have seen many of them grow from just infants and they are as much a part of the Cutting Edge family than anyone else. But it is imperative that we keep them safe! There are obvious dangers that exist at the gym (heavy, large, metal, cannon ball looking objects) that could do some serious damage. Please make every effort to keep your child safe by keeping them in an area away from any potential danger zone.
That is all for now and thank you all for being members of the Cutting Edge Family!
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to Justus.
“We need a warm-up that will increase body temperature and heart rate, provide some stretching, stimulate the entire body and major biomechanical functions, provide practice for basic movements, and finally, prepare for rigorous athletic training.”
